The Chef Manager is responsible for providing culinary expertise and successful culinary leadership for Food and Culinary Services for Nutrition Solutions Cafe. Responsible for planning, organization and follow up skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with sensitive deadlines and changing environments. The chef will ensure adherence to all culinary standards and operational excellence for Nutrition Solutions. The chef will lead, coach, and develop teams of skilled cooks to achieve guest satisfaction while maintaining effective costs and profits with consistent execution. The chef will be responsible for menu development; testing and standardization of recipes and training of food service teams on related concepts and execution. The chef will have close interaction with other members of Nutrition Solutions leadership team, procurement, and preferred vendor representatives.Provides hands on management of all aspects of food production. Assists in development of standardized recipes, tranes staff, controls food and labor cost.Ensures delivery of quality of services for inpatient/outpatient populations and catering events. Maintains all kitchen production in accordance w/DHEC .
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports..
Certification Program - Culinary Training
5 years - In the field of culinary arts and food service management (2 of the 5 years of experience must be in a supervisory/lead role in food services).
