Job Summary 13;
Working under direct supervisions performs level 1 LAN/WAN, Legacy PBX, IP Telephony and changes related to additions and changes of equipment and configurations, including routers, switches, Legacy PBX, VoIP Systems and WiFi hardware and configurations. Shares on:call rotation as the first contact for Network problems. Works with Network Engineers and to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, selecting, or developing voice, data, and/or video systems and procedures. Provides technical analysis to all customers to isolate issues and develop strategies to restore or activate services. Interacts with field engineers, core engineers, and transmission and RF staff regarding ongoing network activities. Supports Network Engineers and Sr. Network Engineers to generate reports on network performance, trouble:shooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements. Works on tasks as assigned during project work. Participates in on:call rotation.

Minimum Education 13;
Associates Degree: Information Technology, Telecommunication, Networking, Computer Science, or closely related field.
Minimum Experience 13;
2 years: Field support taking care of telecommunication assets or networks. Network experience to include VoIP, LAN/WAN, Network Infrastructure, Cisco switches, routers, and wireless Access Points, TCP/IP

Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable) 13;
In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements 13;
In lieu of the educational and experience requirements listed above, a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in Field support taking care of telecommunication assets or networks, Network experience to include Legacy PBX Systems, Cisco IP Telephony, LAN/WAN, Network Infrastructure, Cisco switches, routers, and wireless, TCP/IP; OR a Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or directly related field may be considered. In lieu of experience, the CCT (Cisco Certified Technician) may be substituted for 1 year of experience (i.e. Assoc + CCT + 1 year experience OR HS + CCT + 3 years experience).
