Job Description:
:Operate, maintain and repair all plant heating, air conditioning, and other refrigeration equipment including instruments and controls.
:Utilize Building Automation Control System (Carrier iView) for monitoring and troubleshooting HVAC equipment including performing calibrations of temperature and humidity sensors
:Operate chillers, boilers, air compressors and all auxiliary equipment and make chemical analysis as required for boilers and chillers.
:Maintain all air distribution equipment in the facility including air handlers, steam and chilled water valves and coils, condensate pumps, etc.
:Maintain overall operating efficiency through maintenance and repair of the above equipment.
:Check atmosphere conditions throughout the plant and maintain a predetermined proper level of temperature and humidity control.
:Interface/assist outside contractors with various maintenance and inspection activities.
:Operate, maintain and repair the fire protection system including fire alarm control, fire pump system, sprinklers and associated valves.
:Assist the plant in securing Environmental and Safety compliance and achieving company goals
:Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
:Perform required operations necessary to install, maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment used in wastewater treatment and grind coolant systems.
:Perform work, as directed, by supervision in all areas of the plant, facilities, and grounds and according to plant safety policies and electrical and mechanical safe work procedures.
:Perform sampling equipment preparation, sampling, and shipping of samples according to appropriate State and Federal protocols.
:Perform on:site wastewater tests and documentation as required by permit.
:Perform daily inspections, operation and maintenance of:
:Wastewater Treatment Plant
:Ultrafiltration Treatment System
:Tank Farm
:Air Emission Control Equipment
:Waste Storage Areas
:Central Grinding Coolant System
:Schedule and conduct regulated waste pickups including all necessary documentation such as proper manifests, waste determinations, and others, as required.
:Assist maintenance in other routine duties when required.

:Employee and Contractor Information and Training (Safety/Environmental/OSHA)
Minimum Requirements:
:Associate's Degree in Industrial Electronics Technology, Mechatronics Technology or Automated Manufacturing Technology.
:Experienced in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing refrigerant systems including use of refrigerant recovery systems.
:Ability to read and interpret complex documents (equipment manuals, schematics)
:Good communication skills with audiences including environmental and OSHA regulators, auditors, customers, or any employee of the organization.
:Mathematical Skills: ability mathematical operations to such tasks as determining flow rates, surface areas and volumes as well as calculating substance concentration.
:Reasoning Ability: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions / ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with multiple abstract and concrete variables / use strong mechanical and electronic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
:Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
:must obtain a South Carolina Class "D" Physical/Chemical Wastewater Operator's license within one (1) year
:must have or obtain a "Universal" EPA
