Purpose and Scope
The HR Analyst will report directly to the Manager : Organization Advancement and will be responsible for all aspects of human resources for the Duncan Distribution Center; with an emphasis on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and development. This includes on:going maintenance of policies, programs, and practices to ensure strong associate training and development. In particular, this position will be responsible for coordinating and filling all staffing requirements for the plant, educating plant and assisting associates with all benefits issues, creation and implementation of training activities for the facility while working to meet diversity goals.
1. Manage and administer an employee driven safety program that assures employee safety and OSHA compliance throughout the plant. Provide leadership and technical support to maintain a safe work environment. Provide support for the training portion of the facility safety program.2. Training and Education: Develop and oversee facility Training Program that assures optimum utilization of individual associate skills and capabilities. Responsible for supporting training requirements of TS:16949 as well as all other plant certifications that contain training requirements. a) work with shift leaders and plant manager to determine specific training requirements for all associates (operatives and staff), b) investigate internal and external training programs for potential application to the plant, c) coordinate development of all internal training programs/materials as necessary, d) arrange for all external training requirements for plant, e) maintain all training records as necessary, and conduct training modules for areas of expertise and responsibility.3. Recruiting, Staffing and Onboarding: a) Analyze plant staffing and create growth and/or downsizing plans as necessary, b) develop strategies and implement plans to recruit, select, and maintain the best:qualified associates, c) ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, federal, and state laws concerning HR issues, d) responsible for all routine hiring functions, including accepting and screening resumes and applications, testing, scheduling physicals, processing of paperwork, and new hire orientation, e) work with local temporary agencies to fill gaps in staffing levels.Assure compliance with all corporate and government regulations. f) Provide access and opportunity for internal development of skills and professional/technical growth.4. Benefit Administration: a) Become source of knowledge on all benefit programs within plant, b) educate self and plant on all benefit changes, c) manage resolutions between providers, corporate benefit administration, and associates as necessary to ensure fair and timely application of benefits, d) ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, federal, and state laws concerning all benefit programs.5. Diversity Initiatives: a) Educate self on corporate diversity requirements and measurements, b) work with Corporate Org. Adv. Department to develop specific action plans for achieving diversity goals, c) work with local agencies, schools, etc. in identifying and recruiting associates aimed at developing a more diverse workforce.6. Document Control and Communications: a) Coordinate and update all plant documents. b) Update all stakeholders of document changes and updates. c) Develop annual plant communications plan focusing on wages, benefits, safety, and environmental issues.
