Job Description ROLE SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is a key finance position reporting to the US Controller with significant interface with the CFO, plant staff and other members of the Finance team. This position owns month-end close activities, reconciliations, forecasting and will support the Finance team in delivering other business wide Finance activities, including ad hoc requests and various special projects. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES As the Senior Accountant, you will: Manage the month-end close for one or more sites Prepare and review journal entries Prepare monthly reporting packages Budgets and forecasts Assist with treasury functions Develop costs for products manufactured at the plant, provide cost quotes and help maintain the costing system Provide effective variance analysis that identifies opportunities for cost improvement. Interact with internal and external auditors Collaborate and partner with plant operations & sales personnel QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree with course work emphasis in accounting and finance, from an accredited college or university Minimum of 4 years of related finance experience DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or related field from an accredited college or university Experience with ERP systems Detailed financial planning, reporting, and analysis experience Expert proficiency in Excel Experience working with executive level cross-functional employees Experience with managing complex projects with various stakeholders Experience with financial reporting systems, including Oracle ERP. Detailed understanding of P&L and balance sheet analysis and forecasting Strong capacity to balance recurring and ad-hoc requests from business Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build a connection with the team through personal involvement and trust Strong organization skills and attention to detail Ability to function independently with general supervision and willingness to contribute beyond the defined role Company Description Fitesa offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
